<p>GUYANA REVENUE AUTHORITY<br />
Notice: VEHICLES 8 YEARS OLD &amp; USED TYRES<br />
“Effective October 1, 2020, and resulting from the 2020 Budgetary measures, import of vehicles over 8 years old, half-cut vehicles and used tyres will be allowed to enter Guyana.”</p>
<p>As per information available on the website of Guyana Revenue Authority, there are restrictions on the import of vehicles in Guyana if the manufacturing year of the vehicle is older than 8 years. The restrictions apply on the vehicle&#8217;s type like Cars, SUVs (Sports Utility Vehicles), Vans, Buses, and Pickups.</p>
<p>The said import policy of vehicles was announced in the Federal Budget of 1916 in Guyana. Minister of Finance took this measure and the policy was implemented from May 1, 2016, after approval of the National Budget on March 14, 2016.</p>
<p><strong>Most Demanded Used Vehicles &amp; Commercial Trucks in Guyana</strong></p>
<p>Toyota Allion, Premio, Land Cruiser Prado, Nissan X-Trail, Nissan Leaf (Electric Car), Honda Vezel, Toyota Hilux Revo, and Mitsubishi Canter Trucks are the most demanded used Vehicles in Guyana.</p>
